Today, I am very excited to introduce my friend and latest millionaire in Nigeria to you - Olatokun 'Lowo, who won N5 million yesterday night on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

He is a follower of my blog, and he first contacted me after reading my article 8 Practical Tips To Winning 10 Million On Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, that he was also reading towards getting to the hotseat. He sounded really determined on phone. And apart from him, only one other person has contacted me. Yet, I am sure many more want to get to the hotseat too who have read the article.

He actually put me in suspense for 2 weeks (his show was recorded on Saturday, the 15th of November). I remembered being called that faithful morning when I was about to board my vehicle to Abuja from Kano by a lady in Ultima Studios, Lagos (I already knew they were the ones as I still have about 5 of their numbers).
She said that I want to inform you that your friend Lowo is on the hotseat and has included your name as one of his 'call-a-friend' friends. If Frank calls you, don't say good morning, speak out loud, and tell him (Lowo) how sure you are of your answer.

(Lowo had asked me early that morning if it was ok for him to include my name as one of his 'call-a-friend' friends. I said, "of course", gave him my areas of strength, and told him that he should make sure he gets to the hotseat oh! lol)

His 10 million naira question after he walked away

Of course, I was nervous throughout the 4 hours journey to Abuja. The network was fluctuating and I was so bothered that he might need my help and Frank wouldn't be able to reach me. After I got to a place where the network was ok, having not received any call in about 3 hours, I text him because I knew from experience that by that time, he would definitely have left the hotseat and they would be recording another episode.

Asked I, "How did it go pal?"
His response was (duplicating the text exactly), "It was "mahout" o, mahout was the issue o! I will like 2 intrigue u by not telling u now d full story if that's ok. Will b in touch. They say it shld air 30/11."

Yesterday, while watching the show at home I called him, after he got the 1 million naira question right by choosing correctly that a slug is a mollusk, I said to him, "guy, congrats you have already won 1 Million now" (I must confess that in my mind, I thought 'Mahout' was the 1 million naira question and he missed it, went home with N250,000, and he was too ashamed/disappointed to tell me on phone). He said just keep watching. Little did I know he had seen the ultimate question.

Congrats once again pal. Let me give you the same advice Frank gave me after I walked away with 1 million naira... "Spend it wisely."
