Babylonian man has never wanted freedom for his slaves. More so, Slave-owners once used the Bible to endorse slavery and slave trade.
In the British empire back then, the White man even printed a specially edited Bible for his slaves that removed all verses that talked about the deliverance of slaves from slavery.
"It was intended for use among enslaved Africans in the British West Indies, which is modern day Caribbeans, so Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua," he says.''
"About 90 percent of the Old Testament is missing [and] 50 percent of the New Testament is missing," Schmidt says. "Put in another way, there are 1,189 chapters in a standard protestant Bible. This Bible contains only 232."
And today many
Archaeology and History scholars now out-rightly dispute the FACT that the Israelites were once slaves in Egypt.
But what has been God's eternal stance concerning Slavery?
THERE ARE 3 ECONOMIC LEVELS IN THE WORLD
There are 3 levels to Work and your ability to eat/live a comfortable lifestyle;
Level 1: YOUR EATING IS NOT CONTINGENT ON YOUR WORK.
If you are at this level, you eat whether you work or not; whether or not there is natural disaster or man-made calamities in the country. Your returns are more than the work input.
At this level :
a) God's kingdom economy (Gen 2:8-15, Gen 26:1-12). You continue to work regardless of the fact that you are already rich and financially free, and you get returns no matter what happens in the world around you. You can even give away all your wealth and start over again- you are that rich and carry value within. You employ/help thousands or even millions of people globally. The people here are fully ambassadors of God's kingdom.

b) Babylonian economic system: The "people at the top" that dominate fellow man. Other people below slave off for them. The ''people at the top'' are like slave masters rarely working, only ''supervising slaves''!
If the slaves are set free, they lose their financial (religio-political) empire, therefore they do all they can to keep their slaves. They deceptively claim that Babylon is God's kingdom and they are put in charge by God. They also dominate millions of people globally/are big employers of labour, so you might mistake it for God's kingdom economy.
Level 2: YOU EAT EXACTLY AS YOU HUSTLE & BUSTLE.
Here, the returns you get are exactly commensurate to your sweat and hustling (Gen 3:19). You work for yourself like a one-man business proprietorship and can only feed/help yourself & your family.
If you don't work, you don't chop (2Thess 3:10), so you daily go out to work/hunt in order to get food for that day. You are not under any boss. You determine your own fate on a daily basis no matter what goes on in the world around you. The people at this level either promote God's kingdom or Babylon on a daily basis till they move up to level 1 or go down to level 3.
Level 3: YOU WORK, BUT THE RETURNS & LIFESTYLE ARE LESS THAN THE WORK YOU PUT IN.
Here, you are literally a "slave" because your sweat/salary is in a ''negative feedback loop''- you can't still meet basic needs as if you are working for someone else to eat.
For salary-earners, whether or not they are fed/paid a salary by their boss, they must still work compulsorily or else, there will be repercussions.- Rat Race.
The average worker/salary-earner globally is fully sucked into Babylon at this level.
SO, HOW DID GOD DEAL WITH THE "BABYLONIAN MINDSET" AMONG HIS OWN PEOPLE?
Lev 25:17 Therefore you shall not oppress one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.
1. PERIODIC ECONOMIC OVERHAUL: You can keep Hebrew slaves but in the 7th and 50th year of Jubilee, write off all debts and set all Hebrew slaves free (Exo 21: 2, Lev 25:10, 42, 55; Deut 15:1-4, 12-15, Deut 23:15-16).
And you must borrow poor Hebrew people money without interest, even if their request is in the 6th or 49th year -just before the sabbath year of rest/Jubilee (Exo 22:25, Deut 15:7-11). You can only charge interest if the loan is to be used for business (Exo 22:14, Matt 25:27).
2. Anyone can freely decide to be a slave if so poor that they cannot feed themselves (Exo 21:5, Lev 25:39, Deut 15:16). But if someone ever kidnaps a free Hebrew person and enslaves them, you must stone that kidnapper to death (Exo 21:16, Deut 24:7).
3. If another nation brings war to your land, you are permitted to legally keep slaves of the conquered people, but treat them with dignity (Exo 21:20-21, 26-27, Lev 25:44-46 ).
And this mindset continued till slave trade was finally abolished in the 19th century.
(This is also similar to Colonialism- the economy of the subdued people is controlled by their colonial masters.)
THE DECEPTION: From Genesis to Revelations, God never asked anyone to violently take the whole earth and colonize all nations/enslave people in his name- not even Israel!
God's dealing with Israel & their taking of the promised land in the Middle East, does not equate to the British Anglican empire trying to colonise the world or Islam trying to violently take the whole earth or Catholic Rome's Crusader wars to control Jerusalem and the earth. Jesus Christ will come down himself to militarily take the earth (Rev 19:17-21).
Don't be deceived.
