Enrolled In The Business School of The Streets- THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS!

Now that I have decided to fully become an entrepreneur in the real sense of the word, having registered my company, I have automatically enrolled in a business school.... The Streets' Business school, that is, not your regular business school- the business school Snoop Dog (or is it now Snoop Lion) calls "The School Of Hard Knocks." That is where all true successful entrepreneurs are made. That is where a 5-year old orphan who later made it in life having lived on the street, cut his business teeth.

While I know I will still go for my traditional MBA later, for now, I need the kind of business education a regular MBA school cannot give. My business mentors have taken it upon themselves to ensure that I don't fail, or lose investors' money. If I have ever failed in anything, and learnt along the way, I do not desire to fail in this at all.
However, you know failure is relative. While someone will call a business school professor who has never started or run his own business from the scratch a failure (ala Nassim N. Taleb in cover pic above), his family and friends, and primary school colleagues still see him as a success. While someone may call a teacher who teach 1000 students a subject and only 5 pass the exam a failure, one of that 5 may go on to become the president of the country. While you may not have ever withdrawn money from Forex, you may have a day job as a Forex teacher, teaching many others "How to make money from Forex"! *winks*

So you see that failure is relative, and success might mean different things to different people.

And talking about Forex, one of my early 'stubborn' Forex Students, a colleague, (that I taught Forex 'for free' early December last year) finally graduated during the week. lol.

[Himself knows that he is stubborn but thank God he finally decided to follow my instructions to the letter. It was he who came to me to say, 'I decided to follow your instructions. And I am better off for it.']

After telling him over and again that he should learn with less than $20 real money (not transferring more than that to trade personally as a beginner), he finally heeded the advice and deposited $16. He tripled it to about $50, came down to $25, and then finally took it to $100 in the last one week.

After he withdrew $50 (his own first ever Forex withdrawal), I congratulated him upon graduation- you do not graduate until you have withdrawn an amount greater than the amount you deposited.

In case you have not heard it before, in life there are guiding principles, and you don't break them, you only break yourself against them. Here is the Light house story;

It was a dark and stormy night.
Crewmember: “Captain, Captain, wake up.”
Captain: “Well?”
Crewmember: “Sorry to wake you, sir, but we have a serious problem.”
Captain: “Well what is it?”
Crewmember: “There’s a ship in our sea lane about twenty miles away, and they refuse to move.” Captain: “What do you mean they refuse to move? Just tell them to move.”
Crewmember: “Sir, we have told them; they will not move.”
Captain: “I’ll tell them.” The signal goes out: “Move starboard 20 degrees.”
The signal returns: “Move starboard yourself 20 degrees.”
Captain: “I can’t believe this. Well, I mean I’m a captain. Let them know who I am. I’m important.” Signal goes out: “This is Captain Horatio Hornblower XXVI, commanding you to move starboard 20 degrees at once.”
Signal returns: “This is Seaman Carl Jones II, commanding you to move starboard 20 degrees at once.”
Captain: “What arrogance? I mean, what presumption? Here is a seaman commanding me, a captain.
We could just blow them right out of the water. We could just let them know who we are.
sijinius.comSignal: “This is the Mighty Missouri, flag ship of the 7th fleet.”
The signal returns: “This is the lighthouse.” [That’s a true story found in the Naval Proceedings Magazine, where a lighthouse was literally interpreted as a ship.]

While a ship can move, a lighthouse cannot!

I am not ready to be shattered to pieces, I will rather be broken within. (Matt 21:44)

See you soon.
