Fighting Poverty, One Idea At A Time

I was researching for my start-up idea on helping the poorer population in Africa save and become more self-reliant and was directed to the book "Poor Economics" written by two MIT professors Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo.

I have only just began to digest it so I can't say much on it except that I hope to be greatly educated on the economics behind poverty. The book has a lot of positive reviews and I know it will make a very good read. I also intend getting the 2006 Nobel peace prize winner Mohammad Yunus' bestsellers "Creating a world without poverty," "Building social business", and "Banker to the poor: Micro-lending and the battle against world poverty."

I am preparing myself to join the fight against poverty, at least in Africa, and become a crusader in and with the global army being roused to take up the gauntlet against hunger, disease and poverty the world over. I hope you will be ready to lend me a hand if I ask for your help. lol.
