I AM GRATEFUL

sijinius.com

...Why won't I? Over the weekend, I was admitted. Yes! Doctors get admitted too. lol

Here's how the story goes. I had been doing so much running around during the week as regards the personal finance company I am trying to incorporate. So I had been eating out, not particularly mindful of where I eat, not to talk of what. A friend then called me to cover at his hospital for him as he had an exam to do. I was to work 48 hours with only about 12 hours rest in between. The long story was that during the second 24 hours I fell terribly ill and was too weak to even stand. I called out to the matron on duty to admit me as I was to weak to continue. The MD came around and put me on drip, and the other nurses started calling me shaky-shaky doctor (after a popular Lagos TV commercial of a sick dad) lol.

I am grateful to be alive and be able to continue today from where I stopped. The lawyer called me to inform me that I can't get approval from CAC (corporate affairs commission) to incorporate a personal finance advisory company with my MB ChB certificate, so I will be needing that of an accountant or finance major. Now I know instinctively why Robert Kiyosaki co-authored most of his first personal finance books including Rich dad; Poor dad, with Sharon Letcher. The lawyer told me that Nigeria's system does not care how much knowledge about a subject you have, if you don't have a certificate to back it up, then to them you know nothing about it. lol.

CREDICOINS AND THE BILLION DOLLAR IDEA

sijinius.com
While I told you the other day that my ambition is to become an internet billionaire (and you will still find that on my Linkedin profile), I am humbled the more I read about poverty from the book Poor Economics by MIT professors Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo. I am also grateful to be privileged and blessed with the opportunities I have received from God in my short stay on earth. While I used to complain about not being born in the USA, or not having a lot of other niceties of life, the fact that I live and spend above $1 daily is enough reason to know that I am rich.

While not extremely rich, I am willing to use the wisdom and genius God has given me to move just ONE person out of poverty into abundance, before I leave this earth. For me, it is no longer about becoming a billionaire. I now know that most of those other internet billionaires did not start out with the mindset to become internet billionaires...it just happened naturally from having a global dream. From Larry Page and Sergey Brin to David Filo, Jerry Yang and Mark Zuckerberg, their dreams and passion was what moved them to act and do the things we know them today by, which served/service billions of people all over the world today.

I am not moved anymore by the appellation or the money. Now, I am simply motivated by just one desire- TO SEE ONE MORE AFRICAN CHILD, ONE OTHER INDIVIDUAL, ONE MORE FAMILY, TAKE CHARGE OF THEIR FINANCIAL DESTINY TO BECOME TRULY FINANCIALLY FREE AND INDEPENDENT.
